A small Danish motor vessel company, at Marienborg, which started İnat year with the moɗeant capital of 25,000 kr., has decided to increare its capital to 200,000 kr. The M. B. K. at Tientsin, The Mitani Boraso Kaisha is erecting a large four mill three stories in height on the Italian Bund, Tientsin. It is now near- ing completion and a larga mill- ing plant is being installed.

A Java paper learns from good anthority that in 1918 the Osaka Shosen Kaisha will maintain a- now service between Japan and Javs, via Balik Papan and Ma cigsar, and book again via Bong- kong and Chinens ports. The }inclusion of Singapore also in the sew programme of sailing is being considered.

The total number of vessels which are being built at the Mit- |subishi, Kawasaki, Toyoda, Uraga and other dooks in Japan is thirty- seven with a total tonnage of 134,998.
