ARMY TERMS EXPLAINED. Army corps is a complete army! --on a small scale in itself. The strength varies from 35,000 to 45,000 men.

Division is a force of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, usually with a strength of from 15,000) to 20,000 men.

Brigade is a force of infantry or cavalry. The infantry brigade ie from 4,000 to 7,000 strong. The cavalry brigade is from 1,000 to 2,000 strong. Regiment of infantry is from 2,000 to 4,000 strong. A cavalry, regiment is from 500 to 1,000 men strong. Squadron of cavalry 18 from 15t

to 200 men strong. Battery of artillery in the British and French armies has 6 gaus and about 200 men. In the Gorman Army consists of 4 gups and 150 men. In the Russian Army it consists of 8 guns and 250 men.
