SHOCKING TRAIN ACCIDENT.

A shocking disaster occurred this afternoon, says a New York' telegram of Aug. 25, on the Lehigh Valley Railway, noir Manchester, New York. Twenty- seven persons are known to be dead, but it is feared' that the. death-roll will be considerably added to before the rescue parties luve completed their work. The victims were all old soldiers, who were prorending to their homes aftor attending the national en- campment of the war veteranent Rochester.
