The Canard liner1vornin, which struck in a submerged reef at Danat's Rock, near Queenstowy, on May 24, and was afterwards grounded in Queenstown Har bour, was rellanted recently.

ship, 582, long, and salvage is a notable feat! After sho was beached in the lar bour many of her compartments were flooded, and at high tide the next day there were six foot of water on lior deck forward. The weight of the great ship car ried her down into the sand until some of the torn pinting was buried. This added to the difficul- ties of the divers, who had to work from inside the ship. Part of the cargo was taken out, and the damaged plating on both sides of the ship was temporarily re paired. With tho uid

The floating of the Ivernia in another triumph for the Liverpool Salvage Association, which salved 11.M.S. Uladiator mid the liner Sueric, and saved the guns from H.M.S. Montagu after she wOH wrecked on Lindy Island.

While the divers were working on the Ivornia they found some timbers of a ship omiludded in the danged plating. The Ivornia must havo struck the rocks at n' point where some wooden vessel; was wrecked years ago.
