INTERPORT CRICKET.
HONGKONG VICTORIOUS.
THIRD DAY'S PLAY.
[By Our Special Representative.} Weather conditions were considerably im proved to-day, and if the wicket was not exactly a perfect 'ont, It was, at any rate, in much better shape than yesterday, and the frequent rolling did much to improve it. The light was just right for the batsmen, the sun being not too bright, while the ball was not so greasy, and the bowlers and field handled it. With more confidence.
Shanghai's score for the first innings (112) apd for the loss of 8 wickets in their second (159) had 37 to their credit, representing an advance of 113 on Hongkong's fist innings of
201.
Promptly at 11 am, the two Shanghai-not- out mer, Brand and Sparke, emerged from the Pavilion, R. Hancock taking "the bill at the western chil and bowling to Spiske,
flongkong played Taylor short, McEuen taking his place in the field.
