THEATRE ROYAL:

A LADY OF OSTEND. On Monday evening Misa Janer Waldorf's | Company will play A. Lidy of Ostend by, F. C. Burnard of London Punch. This is a farcical comedy which has the merit of being extremely diverting, owing both to the novel humour, of the situations and the cleverness of the dialogue Mr. Burnand succeeded in hitting upon a new idea, the very suggestion of which must appeal to the slightest sense of humour. A man visits. the seaside and on the beach is decoyed into

a lady compromising. position with which incident he might have quite-forgotten? had not the whole affair been recorded by a cinematograph proprietor who makes it the leading attraction of a street show. The trouble begins when the guilty one's wife and mother-in-law see the picture, and then, during the course of three acts, the audience are entertained by a series of rapid and surprising developments which cannot fail to hold them with laughter. This will serve as a slight change of programme, and one which will not only provide mirthful enjoyment to theatre goers, but wil be a bright interlude prior to. the production of the classical dramas on Miss Waldorf's repertoire. The box plan is open at Robinson's.

INTERVIEW WITH MR, NORVAL. MCQREGOR. The golden opinions expressed by ons and all in the recent productions of A Royal Divorce, suggested the idea to one of our representatives to call on Mr. Norval McGregor, to glean some facts of his career. Although busy with preparations for this evening's performance, Mr. N. McGregor, readily and modestly consented to be inter viewed, and in relating his career, he stated: that he first belonged to an amateur club and, success crowning his efforts he threw in his lot with a stock Company in San Franciser, Here opportunities were placed before him, and he was not slow to prove that he was blessed with remarkable theatrical powers.
