There was a considerable increase in recorded programme items during the year under review compared to previous years. Studios, both at Broadcasting House and Sutherland House were in constant use. The following table gives comparisons over the past three years:

During the year outside broadcasts were carried out on all local major events, festivals and important meetings together with broadcasts on the visits to the Colony of VIPs. VHF links were used on many occasions to obtain 0.B.s from remote areas where lines might not be available. Walkie Talkies (VHF portables) assisted greatly in the 0.B. coverage of exhibitions and the like. Great use was made of the Public Telephone Service for
