The Voice of America

138. One of the most popular light music programmes was provided as a transcription by V.O.A. This was 'The Big Record', in which Patti Page introduced each week some half dozen top recording stars in the United States. Mr. G. Stryker, the head of the Far East Branch of V.O.A., paid a visit to Radio Hong Kong during the year.

Sveriges Radio

139. Talks by a Swedish resident in the Colony were recorded by Radio Hong Kong for subsequent transmission on the home service of the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation.

Radio Sarawak

140. Radio Hong Kong continued to supply Radio Sarawak with weekly Kuoyü radio plays and with recordings of Kuoyu by Radio lessons produced by Mr. Hsu Chung For .

Radio Malaya

141. Radio Malaya broadcast the weekly Cantonese 'Topical Events' programme produced by the Chinese Service of Radio Hong Kong.

Radio Sabah

142. Mr. R. J. Brooks, the Director of Radio Sabah in North Borneo, visited Radio Hong Kong and held discussions on the supply of Chinese programmes to Radio Sabah by Radio Hong Kong.

Rediffusion

143. Cordial relations with Rediffusion were maintained and the two organizations joined forces again for the annual Fat Choy drive broadcasts before Chinese New Year.

Radio Vila Verde

144. For the Macau Grand Prix, Radio Hong Kong provided a team of commentators and Radio Vila Verde the technical facilities necessary to give complete coverage to the motor races; selected broadcasts were relayed by Radio Hong Kong.

Miscellaneous

145. Occasional programmes were broadcast from the transcription services of United Nations Radio and UNESCO.
