With the commencement of water restrictions on the 24th September, all routine mains maintenance and waste detection work was suspended and personnel diverted to full-time valve operation duty. With the cessation of restrictions personnel resumed their normal duties on the 1st November.

11.08 Apart from the brief period of water restrictions, systematic waste detection continued throughout the year.
