THE WELFARE FUND

54. A table reflecting the state of the Welfare Fund is set out in Appendix V.

HONOURS AND AWARDS

55. Her Majesty the Queen awarded one Queen's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and seven Colonial Police Medals for Meritorious Service to members of the Force.

56. Awards of the Colonial Police Long Service and Good Con- duct Medal were as follows:

57. Forty five members of the Force were commended by the Commissioner of Police.

58. Rewards granted to members of the public for special services. totalled $3,705.00 and to members of the Force $28,102.00. There were 4,414 men drawing Good Conduct Allowance at the end of the year.

59. There are two principal training centres within the Police Force, the Police Training School and the Police Training Contingent.
