The second small air-conditioned bus

service was Route 208 where the

smaller buses replaced the old coaches.

We have planned for a few more

routes where the use of small air-

conditioned buses would be more economical.

We are also cooperating with the

MTR to provide an integrated transport system. As a first step, KMB has signed an agreement with the MTR to install

100 Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) machines on a number of buses

operating MTR feeder routes. These

machines will accept the MTR stored

value tickets as a means of fare

payment for the convenience of

passengers (cash can also be paid if the

passenger so wishes). The machines are.

expected to be in operation in a year

or so.
