(C). AIRCRAFT IN FLIGHT. The address should normally contain:

The name or rank of the addressee.

The name or number of the aircraft fol- lowed by the call sign as it appears in Part C of the International List of Aero- nautical Stations and Aircraft Stations.

The name of the aeronautical station through which the message is to be for- warded.

Example:-Stewartson Dorado GACWD Kai-

takaeradio.

There is no additional charge made for the call signal, when added to the name or number of the air- craft in the address of a radiotelegram.

If desired, the name or number of the aircraft may at the risk of the sender, be replaced by the particulars of its voyage.

Example:-Stewartson Clipperplane Manila to

Hong Kong.

(D). SENDERS ADDRESS.

The name and address of the sender should be written on the form in the space provided and it is desirable that the sender's telephone number should also be added.

Radiotelegrams to be held by the

the Coast

Station for a Fixed Number of Days (JX). The sender of a radiotelegram to a ship, may indicate the period for which he desires the message to be kept at the coast station, up to a maximum period of 10 days, excluding the day of handing in. In that case he should write before the address the instruction JX (chargeable as one word), the number of days to be inserted in lieu of X. If the ship does not communicate with the coast station within that period, the latter notifies the office of origin, and the information is communicated to the sender.

If the sender does not specify any period, the office of origin will be informed by Service Advice on the morning of the 4th day following the day of handing in of the radiotelegram, that it has not been possible to deliver the message to the ship of destina- tion. The sender, to whom this information will be communicated by the office of origin, may then if he
