(e) When a reply-paid voucher has not been used and has been returned within three months of the date of issue or when the full amount deposited for a reply has not been expended, provided that the unexpended amount is not less than 50 cents, (10d. or 1 franc) and that application is made within three months of the date of issue, the amount due will be refunded to the sender of the original radio- telegram.

(f) When a special paid service has not been rendered, as in the case of a collated (T. C.) telegram not repeated, the charge collected in respect thereof will be refunded.

(g) When a radio-telegram has been cancelled at the office of origin before such transmission to the Coast Station has commenced, or before such transmission has been completed. If the radio-telegram is cancelled after its transmission to the Coast Station but before it has reached the ship of destination, any balance of charges will be refunded.

(h) When a radio-telegram cannot be transmitted to its destination owing to the ship having passed out of range, the charge for trans- mission from the Coast Station to the ship Station only will be refunded.

250.-No claim for reimbursement will be entertained unless it is made within five months of date of the original radio-telegram.

251.-The amounts paid in respect of radio-telegrams or ordinary telegrams sent in consequence of non-delivery, delay, or incorrect transmission of a radio- telegram will in no case be returned.

Signal Stations.

252.-Signal Stations for communication with vessels passing the light- houses are maintained at Gap Rock and Waglan Lighthouses which are in telegraphic communication with the Radio Telegraph Office.

253.-Arrangements can be made with the Radio Telegraph Office for advices of Ships passing the lighthouses. The fee for each advice is 20 cents which must be prepaid. Shipping firms who have placed standing orders with the Radio Telegraph Office for this service may have accounts rendered to them. every month subject to provision that such accounts are settled before the 15th. of the month following that for which the accounts are rendered,

Semaphore Telegrams.

254.-Semaphore telegrams are telegrams exchanged with ships by means of semaphores established at the Signal Stations. They may be written either in English or in groups of letters of the International Code of Signals.
