21. Mr. R. HOGARTH, Controller of Posts, was appointed as a Com- panion of the Imperial Service Order in June 1966.

22. Mr. A. G. CROOK, J.P., Postmaster General, was absent from the Colony on vacation leave from 12.4.66 to 14.11.66.
23. Mr. M. ADDI, Senior Controller of Posts (Accounts and Finance), returned from vacation leave on 10.4.66.
24. Mr. C. ROWLINSON, Chief Inspector (Telecommunications), returned from vacation leave on 6.5.66.
25. Mr. R. V. TALBOT-JONES, Chief Controller, Telecommunications Services, was absent from the Colony on vacation leave from 24.6.66 to 14.1.67.
26. Mr. R. S. SUTTIE, Assistant Controller of Posts Class I, was absent from the Colony on vacation leave from 4.6.66 to 12.12.66.
27. Mr. K. R. SEAMANS, Controller (Telecommunications), proceeded on vacation leave on 18.12.66 prior to reversion to the British Post Office.
28. Mr. W. R. J. BALL, Assistant Controller of Posts Class I, pro- ceeded on vacation leave on 24.3.67.
Staff Training
29. The training of two Hong Kong University graduates on the higher administrative duties of the Department continued during the year and a further graduate was recruited for training on the adminis- trative duties of the Telecommunications Division. One of these graduates received five months training on a postal administration course in the United Kingdom organized by the British Post Office. Steps were also taken during the year with a view to recruiting four additional university graduates for the same purpose and these posts will be advertised in the new financial year. This will bring the total of graduates of local universities being trained on higher administrative duties of the Department to seven.
