CAP. 313] Shipping and Port Control Regulations

Every vessel not using a traffic separation scheme shall avoid it by as wide a margin as is practicable.

9. A vessel engaged in fishing shall not impede the passage of any vessel following a traffic lane.

10. A vessel of less than 20 metres in length or a sailing vessel shall not impede the safe passage of a power-driven vessel following a traffic lane.

PART II

(A) Traffic Separation Scheme--Eastern Approaches to Victoria Port (Tathong Channel)

The traffic separation scheme for the eastern approaches to Victoria port (Tathong Channel) comprises---

(a) A separation zone within the waters of Hong Kong bounded by straight lines joining the following positions--

(i) latitude 22° 13′ 25″ north, longitude 114° 20′ 00″ east;

(ii) latitude 22° 13' 04" north, 114° 20′ 00″ east;

(iii) latitude 22° 13' 15" north, 114° 17′ 28″ east;

(iv) latitude 22° 13′ 25″ north, longitude 114° 20' 00" east.

(b) A separation line within the waters of Hong Kong joining the following positions-

(i) latitude 22° 13′ 15″ north, 114° 17' 28" east;

(ii) latitude 22° 14′ 07″ north, 114° 16′ 25″ east;

(iii) latitude 22° 16′ 20″ north, longitude 114° 13′ east;

(iv) latitude 22° 17′ 03″ north, 114° 14' 20″ east.

(c) A traffic lane for inbound traffic between the separation zone or separation line and straight lines joining the following positions-

(i) latitude 22° 14' 05″ north, 114° 20′ 00″ east;

(ii) latitude 22° 13′ 56″ north, 114° 17′ 16″ east;
