Proposed Private Treaty Grant over Inland Lot No.9675

We thank you for your letter dated 18th January, 1993 together with its enclosures.

We have now reviewed the revised Special Condition 14 prepared by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and have a few minor comments or observations to -make on this as follows:-

We query whether a three year notice period for resumption is really too long for the Government to accept but assume there is no harm in starting from this point as a basis for future negotiation;

We would suggest the word "equivalent" at the end of the third line of paragraph (b) be deleted as this should not describe the type of re-instatement and moreover the type of premises are described to be "of a similar standard" which seems to cover the intended point adequately;

The word "and" at the beginning of the third to last line of the Condition after the word "Surveyors" should be deleted.

We look forward to hearing from you further in due course on how the negotiations are proceeding and to being able to review the final form of the Private Treaty Grant before this is signed, if you so wish.
