FUTURE CONSULATE-GENERAL BUILDING: PRIVATE TREATY GRANT

I attach a letter from Johnson Stokes and Master reacting to the amended version of the Private Treaty Grant (PTG) Special Condition 14 which I sent to Russ Jarvis on 13 January. I would be grateful if you would both let me have your comments on the observations made by Johnson Stokes and Master.

On their (1) it seems to me they have understood our intentions. On their (2) I assume that you will not wish to see "equivalent" removed. Grateful if you could go over this ground again so that I can pass it on to Johnson Stokes and Master. On their (3) I agree with them that we could take out "and".

I will be in touch with you separately to clear our draft to the Constitutional Affairs Bureau on this subject.
