our thinking on Hong Kong. Maximise common ground on China, tracking Franco/Chinese problems over Taiwan. Keep in touch with French thinking over

implementation of Cambodia Settlement.

g) Africa - Maintain

cooperation/dialogue/mutual

practical help (eg evacuation) on trouble spots. Diminish mutual

suspicion in this area and

develop joint efforts to

encourage regional cooperation.
