New LegCo Session
To establish an independent LegCo Secretariat following the separation of LegCo and ExCo.
Present status/progress
The Administration has finalised with LegCo a package of proposals regarding staffing and financial arrangements for the future independent LegCo Secretariat. Target date of establishing the independent LegCo Secretariat is April 1994.

Security of
Pensions
Civil servants have expressed concern about security of pensions, and have been pressing for some time for measures to safeguard pensions. Various options have been put to HKG.
HKG is examining the details of a partial funding proposal including the size, scope and means of operation of the proposed pension reserve fund and the financial implications on the HKG and the future SARG.
Pensions were on the agenda for JLG XXVI. Further discussions
