Jubilee Street, Jordan Road and Kowloon City; or

vehicular ferry services between North Point, Kwun Tong and Sai Wan Ho.

Other services may be provided at the request of Police Headquarters or the Civil Control Centre.

In the event that both ferry companies find difficulty in providing coxswains and engineers, the Emergency Port Control Committee will, if possible, arrange for trained personnel to be provided from other sources to operate two vehicular ferries with turnaround times of from 20 to 30 minutes and also a few passenger services. On this basis, however, ferry services will be very limited.

Normal services will resume when the curfew is finally lifted. But during breaks in a curfew the ferries may revert to normal running conditions subject to the demands of the Security Forces.

PRIORITIES DURING AN EMERGENCY

ferries are :

Potential commitments in respect of the

(a)

to transport people home when an emergency is announced;

(b)

to move Security Forces by sea to trouble spots;

(c) to move foodstuffs by sea;

(a)

to move livestock by sea; and

(e)

evacuation by sea.

During an emergency absolute priority will be given at all times to Security Force vehicles and personnel.
