Staff

Staff at Depots include Engineers, Inspectors, Works Supervisors, Artisans, Turncocks and Drivers to control distribution and effect emergency repairs. Operational staff are posted to all major treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs to maintain supplies.
Equipment and Stores
12.
The Director of Water Supplies is responsible for maintaining adequate stocks of stores to permit rapid repair of damaged mains etc. and all consumable stores to permit continuous operation of treatment works and pumping stations. All such stations hold emergency stocks of fuel and chemicals. Limited stocks of pipe fittings are held at Waterworks depots and the remainder are obtainable from Government Supplies.
