For future flexibility Procurement Section should be relocated on 6th floor and commercial section relocated on the 7th floor.
The number of visitors to Consular/Visa/Passport Sections are likely to be large and at peak times queues may form the outside of the building. Consideration should be given to relocating the street entrance further away from the main entrance to the Consulate-General building.
A better link is required between the Consulate General and British Council particularly from staff car park and to Multi-purpose hall.
The single staff lift from the car park should only go as far as level 8 for security reasons.
(£) Better route from Residential block to offices
should be considered.

(a) The main gate house requires all round vision and
speech units into the street, pedestrian airlock (H2) and vehicle airlock (H5) in order to fully control vehicle and pedestrian access to the site. A door from the guard house into both airlocks is also required. The search room (H3) is no longer required. H5 therefore needs to be re-located and the gate house redesigned. Consideration should also be given for a separate pedestrian staff entrance/exit to the main building.

The visitor parking (Q12) should not be located inside the main vehicle barriers. Some visitors parking outside the gatehouse appears to be located under the main building which is a security risk.
