UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE

Students in the first five years are expected to be in uniform. In Summer, as befits the weather in Hong Kong, it is simple, cool and practical. In the cooler Winter months a more formal uniform incorporating a blazer and tie is worn. Sixth Formers do not have to wear the uniform in recognition of their senior status and the fact that they will soon be entering the world of tertiary education or work. There is a dress code and students are expected to look reasonably smart and presentable. We grant the Sixth form liberty but draw the line at licence. It is expected that they will dress in a manner appropriate for the work they are doing and acceptable to the school's wider community.

Some students spend a considerable amount of their time and ingenuity devising ways to circumvent the school's uniform rules. While the school is tolerant about uniform as about most things, students who frequently ignore the uniform rules or flout the Sixth form. dress code can expect to be sent home and parents are reminded of their undertaking to support the school's rules. Details of the uniform and the dress code can be found in an enclosure.

A dress code only for Form Six students.

Summer uniform is cool and sensible.
