In principle, no field is excluded from economic co-operation. light of Brazil's recent opening-up to the international community and the progressive liberalization of its legislation, new fields will
gradually appear.
In addition to trade co-operation (the longest-standing) and industrial co-operation (the most recent area), or scientific and technical co-operation, and over and above the more traditional fields such as energy, forms of co-operation are likely to develop in the areas of:

regulations in the fields of technology, health and plant health
(certification and standardization);
services: for example, tourism and transport;
electronics,
forward-looking fields such as data processing, telecommunications and the use of space technology for environmental
