I very much regret that the story in question fell below the standard of professional journalism expected by Construction News. Comments were incorrectly directly attributed to yourself and this cannot in any way be excused or accepted. For this failure, I must apologise to you on behalf of Construction News.
I have given severe warnings to all involved and would emphasise that unprofessional journalism such as this incident will not be tolerated by Construction News. I will ensure that your letter is published in the next issue of the newspaper.
