After briefing from officials, HP Clausen goes to Prime Minister about what Schluter subsequently (late January 1991) described as "some Tamil cases that had already been processed" and were ready for signature. tells HP Clausen they should be finalised "today rather than tomorrow.
Comment
The key meeting in relation to the allegation that Schluter was party to a cover-up or failed to investigate a possible impropriety. How much was he told? He now says little - in which case why his injunction to act with speed? If nothing was amiss, why had the new Justice Minister come especially to discuss the matter?
