ALLOCATION OF CALL SIGNS

Agreed with SPD that we would reply direct.

When I wrote to Pamela Major on 20 November last year I asked if the DTI's promise of 4-5 years notice of any change to Pitcairn's call signs still held good. In your letter of 28 May you speak of it taking "up to a year" to settle the matter. Can we reassure the Pitcairners that the latter refers to the transfer of funds only?

It would be helpful to know HKD's latest thoughts on a timetable for the reallocation of call signs.
