occasionally supercilious. Father was Ambassador to Iraq, currently

MME FENG CUI (
), DIVISION CHIEF (First Secretary)
Joined the HKMAO in February 1989 to take prime responsibility for IROS.
From Hubei, married to a People's Daily journalist with two children at
University.
Previously served in Geneva dealing with political aspects of international
organisations (1985-89) and before that spent several years in International
Organisations and Conference Department of the MFA dealing with UN Security
Council.
While in Geneva acquired a reputation with her colleagues for enjoying
driving cars very fast (speeding tickets?).
An intelligent, self-confident, friendly and smartly dressed woman who
speaks good English.

HU CHUANZHONG] TE &
Joined HKMAO early 1989. Counsellor in charge of JLG-related work. Served
as interpreter at Panmunjom, Korea 1974-80, and worked in Translation and
Interpretation Department of MFA with Mme Zhang Youyun and Wang Weiyang.
Also served in Canberra 1980-84 and Melbourne 1984-88.
Essex in
His wife, who speaks very good English and studied in Colchester,
the early 70s, works in Education and Training Department, MFA as Head of
the English Language Section. She, too, worked in Australia 1980-88.
