Appointed to the HKMAO fairly recently (?). Born Shaanxi 1933. As yet
only one (social) contact with the Embassy. Responsible for "administrative"
affairs on both Hong Kong and Macao sides of the HKMAO, apparently fulfilling
a "Head of Chancery" type coordinating role. Served in Burma, Argentina, UK
(Counsellor) and Denmark. A quiet, pleasant manner. Speaks halting English.

almost surreal sense of humour and speaks good, often idiomatic, English and.
Danish. Likes Western classical music and cheese.
Has a young grand- daughter with whom he is besotted, and therefore does not wish to be posted

General in Manchester November 1985 to November 1989. Married to Feng
Zhenyi (born in Zhejiang in 1936), who joined her husband in Manchester in
February 1986 but returned early to help the children at school. A football
fan who supported Liverpool and Arsenal when in the UK. Keen on British
television. An engaging conversationalist who speaks good English.
