We are very much aware of the concerns expressed by the AECS and, of course, we share their desire to promote stability in the Hong Kong public service in the run-up to 1997 and beyond. In close consultation with the Hong Kong Government we are giving urgent consideration to a number of pension related issues.

It is not possible to be specific about timing, but we hope to be in a position to make an announcement by the end of the year.
