S for W and S for PEL: In Consultation with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, legislation is being drafted to give statutory recognition to professional qualifications and experience in the architectural, engineering, planning and surveying disciplines. The bills for registration of architects and engineers have been introduced to LegCo and should be enacted in May 1990. The bills for surveyors and planners should be introduced in 1991.
