18. CHANGES IN TERMS OF APPOINTMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Memorandum or in the covering letter of offer of appointment, the Hong Kong Government reserves the right to alter any of the officer's terms of appointment and/or conditions of service set out in this Memorandum or the said covering letter should the Government at any time consider this to be necessary.
