7 WHAT SORT OF PEOPLE ARE EMIGRATING/WILL QUALIFY UNDER THE

SCHEME?

The professional occupations most seriously affected by emigratation include the legal profession, computer systems analysts and programmers, accountants, the medical profession, engineers architects and surveyors, and general and production managers.

The scheme will embrace people from a wide range of walks of life. All of those professions I have just mentioned may be expected to figure amongst those who qualify. In addition members of the disciplined and public services will be included.

18. WHEN WILL LEGISLATION BE INTRODUCED?

Legislation will be introduced at the earliest opportunity.

Hope to do so by the Spring.

The details of the selection process are being finalised. When this has been done the necessary legislation will be prepared and introduced immediately.
