Clause 6 adds 2 new sections to the principal
Ordinance. Section 18A provides for the transfer of
licences and section 18B makes it an offence to supply
incorrect information in any application under the
principal Ordinance.
7. Clause 7 adds a new section to provide that,
where an exempted owner of premises is convicted under
section 19(3) of an offence relating to those premises,
the exemption in respect of the premises shall cease.
8. Clauses 9 and 10 amend sections 24 and 25
respectively to provide that only the person or the
owner of premises whose licence is cancelled or varied
is entitled to compensation.
9. The new section 26A in clause 11 provides
that every owner of premises who is exempt under section
20 shall pay such annual charge as may be prescribed
by regulations.
10. The new section 30A in clause 12 provides
a penalty for the contravention of the terms and
conditions of a licence or an exemption.
11. The amendments in clause 13(a)(i) provide for
a right of appeal where a transfer of licence is refused
under the new section 18A(5), or terms and conditions
are fixed on transfer of licence under the new section
18A(8), in clause 6. The effect of the amendment in
clause 13(b) (by omitting a reference in section 31(3)
of the principal Ordinance to the new paragraph (ja)
