up companies in Hong Kong. Registration procedures to be

gone through in Hong Kong are completely in accordance with the Companies Ordinance in force in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Government imposes no further restriction to Chinese investment in Hong Kong.

2.1.4 On the other hand, if Hong Kong capital is to be invested in the mainland, the foreign economic legislation shall apply. All commercial undertakings can be negotiated by Hong Kong businessmen with the various provincial/regional governments directly without going through the British Embassy in China.

1 In Hong Kong, activities organised by cultural, acts. and sports organisations of the various mainland provinces/ regions include (1) mainland artists and cultural people visiting Hong Kong for exchange of views and other activities; and (ii) lectures given by mainland scholars visiting Hong Kong, or joint research projects.
