They are worried about their future livelihood, particularly about changes in the economic system.

5. The residents hope that the basic law will safeguard Hong Kong's future

rule of law, the democratic administrative system, the cocio-economic system, human rights and freedom. They also hope that the Chinese and British governments will consider the wishes of Hongkong people.
