They are worried about their future livelihood, particularly about changes in the economic system.
5. The residents hope that the basic law will safeguard Hong Kong's future
rule of law, the democratic administrative system, the cocio-economic system, human rights and freedom. They also hope that the Chinese and British governments will consider the wishes of Hongkong people.

One may thus assume that the families in Southern District are male- centred, particularly in political matters.
8. Raising the educational standard of Couthern District residents can help to implement district administration'and democratic reforms.

have incomes in excess of $10,000 per month. This helps in the pro- motion of cultural and recreational activities in the district.
