FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS
Hong Kong is an inalienable part of China and it is unquestionable that China has sovereignty over the territory. It is only a matter of time before Hong Kong is reunited with China. When conditions are ripe, the reunification issue will be solved satisfactorily.
Nationalism is one of the fundamental principles we uphold and is also our starting point in considering Hong Kong's future, although it is not the only guiding principle. Identifying with the Chinese nation does not mean unreservedly approving any present regimes or political parties. No regime which acts against the interests of the majority of the people can exist forever without changes. Through incessant reforms and improvements, the vitality of the nation can be preserved for ever.
We believe in democracy and liberty, and that the ideal Hong Kong should be a free society in which people's livelihood and rights are protected and in which people's wishes prevail. In an ideal society the individual should not only be free from being enslaved, but have the freedom to fully develop their potential. Only under harmonious and healthy social relations will this be possible.
We deeply believe in that Hong Kong people's extensive participation in economic, political, social and cultural activities is a necessary condition to creating a desirable Hong Kong society and that we should mobilize and organize the people to openly discuss proposals for the territory's future.
