We have heard that you will be on holiday in Hong Kong in January and have told the Governor of your visit.
He very much regrets that he is unable to offer you hospitality due to heavy commitments at that time, but Mr Donald Liao, the Secretary for Housing, would be delighted to offer you lunch on 10 January combined with a drive round the New Territories. This could include a visit to a new town if this would be of interest to you. If you could let me know whether these arrangements suit you, I will pass the message back to Hong Kong and Mr Liao will arrange to leave details for you at the Hong Kong Hotel.
