By decision 6 (II), paragraph (c), the Advisory Committee

further recommended that "the World Assembly should be guided

by General Assembly resolution 35/10 C of 3 November 1980, in

which the Assembly stated that 'a time limit of fifteen minutes

for interventions by representatives of States and of ten

minutes for statements by other participants should normally

be observed during the general debate'; the World Assembly

should be guided by that resolution with regard to inter-

ventions by States".

Structure of the Assembly

In addition to the plenary, the provisional rules of

procedure provide for the following:

"Main Committee and working groups

Rule 42

There shall be one Main Committee:

working groups may be

established, if necessary, by the World Assembly and by the Main

Committee.

"Representation on the Main Committee

Rule 43

Each State participating in the World Assembly may be rep-

resented by one representative on the Main Committee.

It may

assign to the Committes such alternate representatives and

advisers as may be required.".

It is noted in this connexion that provision has been made

for two simultaneous meetings, and a maximum of four meetings

per day, including informal consultations and regional group

meetings requiring interpretation services, as well as meetings

held in the evening.

By decision 3 (III), the Advisory Committee at its third
