Lord Carrington

has already approved this in general terms (my minute of 12 December). The following paragraphs summarise programme planning to date and indicate the points on which we need guidance about Lord Carrington's wishes.

DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL TIMES: departure from London at 2000 on 26 March would get Lord Carrington to Islamabad at 1300 (local) the following day, when there would be no official activities. Is this acceptable ?
