To transfer responsi- bility from the Director of Social Welfare (DSW) to the Director of Education (D) of E)

(a) In August 1980 the Education

Department (ED) took over from Social Welfare Department (SWD) the World Rehabilitation Fund Day Centre; for the provision of vocational training. Two additional floors will be completed by December 1981 to provide an additional 84 training places for the

disabled and the establishment of a Vocational Assessment Centre.

(b) DSW considers unsatisfactory

the ground floor schools in public housing estates provided in March 1981 by the D of E to accommodate services to be transferred out of World Rehabilitation Fund Day Centre. Further negotiations between the two departments is` continuing.

(c) A revised draft Code of Aid is

awaited from D of E for consideration in Social Services Branch.
