Stage II of the Review - inspections of posts in voluntary agencies is nearing completion.

A first meeting of the Central Co-ordinating Committee was recently convened and problems affecting more than one department were discussed.

Four meetings have been held so far. Discussions have centred on possible solutions to meet the estimated shortfall of social workers in the next five years.
