major share-holder of the aforesaid restaurant.

The said restaurant is a comparatively large restaur-

ant employing over 100 employees. As Uncle So has

no others to turn to for entrusting the job of

handling large amount of money at the said restaur-

ant and such job also demands long working hours

and honesty and integrity, Your Petitioner has

been entrusted with such a job and has been perform-

ing the same to the satisfaction of all directors

of the said restaurant and in particular Uncle So.

A photocopy of the company search on the share-

holdings in respect of the aforesaid restaurant

is produced and marked "SFY-4".

Your Petitioner through her Solicitors Messrs. S. C.

Mok & Company made application to the Hong Kong

Immigration Department for permanent stay on the

19th January, 1979. On the 21st February, 1979,

Your Petitioner through her said Solicitors again

wrote to the Hong Kong Immigration Department

setting forth the background of her case and

inquiring as to the definition of legal immigrant

under the immigration policy as existed on the

15th January, 1979 and the present policy if any

differences existed. A photocopy of each of the

aforesaid letters are produced and marked "SFY-5′′

and "SFY-6" respectively.

By a printed letter dated the 7th March, 1979, one

S. W. Wong on behalf of the Director of Immigration

informed Your Petitioner that under the present

policy her application for permission to remain
