Mr. Mace failed to explain the question from Staff Side that "since 17 companies were actually out of the
original 24 companies in 1974, how and why there were 3 manufacturing companies in 1976 while there were only 2 in 1974.
We quote the following verbatim minutes :
"Mr. Linthwaite asked was it possible for Mr. Mace to identify the company. Mr. Mace then said maybe Mr. Broadbridge had not given tho Staff Side the right information. Thore were 24 companies in 1973 and thore were 6 manufacturing companies out of 41. The number of manufacturing companies where there were SAT analogues was originally 2 and lator 3.
Miss SO asicod did it mean that Mr. Broadbridge had Bude a mistake in confirming that the 17 companies in 1976 were actually picked out from the 24 companies 1974.
Mr. Mace said the 17 companies wore ones which were out or the total of 27 survoyed and they wore both in the 41 original group and in the 63."
No refer to your letter dated 11th July 1977 Para. 1(a), (b) and (c). After being; repeatedly examined, vo opine your above reply vague and would like to have your straight answer whether the 17 companies were ang the 27 companies as stipulated in 1975 PIU roport Page 1, Para. 4, and confirmed the correctness of the following:
