Following investigations by Customs and Excise officers a Chinese male CHAN Ip-cheong (7115/5509/ 2490) was arrested on 3 February 1978, prior to his departure for Tokyo aboard Cathay Pacific flight CX 550. A search of baggage checked in by CHAN uncovered two tins of 'Butter Cookies' containing a total of 1.0022 kilogrammes of methyl-amphetamine hydrochloride.
