- Do I fully comprehend the responsibilities of that officer.

Do I know the personal backgrounds, the strengths, the weaknesses of these staff.
Do I know anything about their hopes, aspirations, prospects, both personal and in relation to their careers,
Is my personal span of direct control within my capabilities; is it too wide.
weed all my present duties be carried out by me; can I not delegate more.
Need all my statutory duties be carried out by me; could the law be amended to enable me to delegate.

What information, statistics, reports, etc. do I regularly receive which indicate progress towards objectives, of what value are they to my work.
How do I make use of them; what deductions can I draw from them.
- Am I absolutely dependent on this information for control
of my unit.
How do I know that this information is valid and accurate; could it be slanted to give me a certain picture; could it mislead me.
