Regulation 58 of the principal regulations

is amended by deleting conditions (b), (c), (d), (e),

(f) and (g) and substituting the following

(b) that, subject to condition (c), regulation

(c)

57(1) shall apply to a parcel not claimed

within 6 months or such lesser period as

may appear in the receipt issued therefor

(which lesser period shall be not less

than 30 days);

that regulation 57(2) shall apply to

perishable goods;

(a)

that no compensation shall be payable in

respect of a parcel or perishable goods

disposed of under regulation 57;

(e) that the contents of every parcel must

be truly declared;

(£)

that any railway employee authorized by

the general manager in that behalf may

examine the contents of any parcel;

(g)

that, in circumstances deemed by the

general manager to be special, any parcel

may be destroyed or otherwise disposed of

as he may think fit;".
