The review of work of Police Interpreters is
completed and conclusions are now being drawn. Staff
will be consulted shortly.
19.
For two weeks recently, Dental Technicians
worked to rule and refused to cooperate in an O & M study
of the Dental Laboratories, but action was called off
after CSB gave assurance of quick decision on promotion
opportunities and pay once the O & M report is to hand.

New Agreement with British Airways

Revised proposals were received from British
Airways on 5th May. These are still under consideration.
Review of Leave and Passages
21.
The object of the review is to rationalise leave
and passage arrangements and to reduce the differences
in treatment of local and overseas officers. Proposals
have been formulated and the financial implications are
being considered prior to negotiation with the main
staff associations.
22.
The recommendation of the Ross Committee that
annual leave should be the norm for all Directorate officers
is being implemented separately.
