CAPITAL PUNISHMENT: LETTER FROM ERITH & CRAYFORD LABOUR PARTY

The Erith & Crayford Labour Party's General Management

Committee have passed a resolution condemning the recent execu-

tions in Bermuda and calling upon the Government to ensure that

no further executions should ever take place.

2.

I submit a draft reply pointing out the limitations imposed on the Secretary of State, adding that he has said that he is prepared to review the general question of capital punishment

in the dependent territories.
